NIT Surathkal  UG Admission 2019

The National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, offers B. Tech programs in nine specializations, each of them segregated into eight semesters. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the UG programs is 10+2 in science stream with a minimum of 75% aggregate.

About IIT Roorkee

Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee is among the foremost of institutes of national importance in higher technological education and in engineering, basic and applied research. IIT Roorkee Admission 2019: M.Tech & Ph.D. Admissions, Cut Off

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is amongst the famous Institutes of India offering opportunities for higher education in technology and engineering, basic and applied research. The Institute is ranked as the seventh Indian Institute of Technology.

IIT Roorkee offers different UG, PG, Integrated Dual Degree and Research courses in technological education and engineering. The Institute offers bachelor’s degree courses in 10 disciplines of Engineering and Architecture along with Master’s degree in 55 disciplines of Engineering, Applied Science, Architecture and planning. The Institute also has the facility for doctoral work in all departments and research centers.

• The Institute admits students to B.Tech. courses through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
• In case of B.Arch., the selection is done through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) scores.
• Candidates are shortlisted for M.Sc through JAM entrance examination conducted at various centers across India

• IIT Roorkee B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions 2019

  Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee offers undergraduate programmes with B.Tech, B.Arch and Integrated Dual degree courses. B.Tech is offered with 12 different specializations. The duration of B . Arch. and Integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech and B.Tech + MBA) degrees are 5 years, whereas, the B.Tech degrees are for a period of four years.

  Key Points:

  • For admission in the B.Arch course, the candidates have to go through NATA entrance examination and for B.Tech and Integrated degree course through Joint Entrance Examination
  • For the candidates to qualify for admission in the IIT Roorkee, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination
  • Seat relaxation is 15 % for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 3% for Persons with Disability (PwD) in every course

• Application forms for admission to B.Arch course must be filled up ONLINE through the official NATA website 
• Application fee for NATA for all category candidate is INR 1250 and is payable ONLINE or by printing out the challan payable at ICICI bank
• Application form of JEE Main is to be filled up online through the official JEE website

IIT Roorkee M.Tech, M.Arch & MURP Admissions 2019

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee offers postgraduate programs viz. M.Tech, M.Arch & MURP. The Master of Technology (M.Tech) course is offered under 40 different specializations. The duration for all the postgraduate courses is two years. The intake capacity of M.Arch & MURP is 18 seats each whereas the total intake for M.Tech across different specializations is 778.

• Admission to PG courses is done on the basis of valid Normalized GATE scores only.
• Sponsored candidates may be admitted through an Interview/Written Test.
• The application process for the PG courses commence after the declaration of GATE results
• On the basis of GATE scores, the eligible candidates are shortlisted for the written test and interview rounds.

For admission to PG programs, candidates need to fill the application online through the official website.

IIT Roorkee M.Sc & MBA Admissions 2019

IIT Roorkee also offers MBA and M.Sc. degree as Postgraduate courses. The M.Sc. course is offered under four different specializations, for a duration of two years. The MBA course is also offered for a period of two years.

Admission to the MBA courses are based on the CAT score obtained by the candidates, based on which the eligible candidates are invited for the Group Discussion and Interview rounds. The M.Sc. candidates are evaluated on the basis of their GATE scores after which they need to sit for a written test and the Interview round.

IIT Roorkee Ph.D Admissions 2019

IIT Roorkee offers Ph.D. courses with various different subjects of research. The application process to theses courses start in the month of February. Theses courses are offered to candidates who have already attained Master’s degree in their relevant fields. The course duration for all these courses is 2 years.

The minimum CGPA required for these courses is 7.00 on a 10 point scale or 70% marks in their respective Master’s degree courses. The admission eligibility requirements may be relaxed to 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, or to 55% marks for SC/ST candidates with Master’s degree or equivalent degree in the respective field of study.
